## Cervical Cancer — Fully Preventable
99% of cervical cancer cases are caused by HPV. In Israel, incidence dropped 70% since HPV vaccination was introduced. In the Ethiopian-Israeli community, screening rates are below average.
## HPV Vaccination — Free
Ages 9-18: free in national vaccination programme. Ages 18-45: subsidised at health funds.
## PAP Smear — When?
Age 25: first test. Every 3 years: routine until age 65. Free in basic health basket — ask your gynaecologist.
## Warning Signs
Bleeding between periods / after intercourse. Unusual discharge with odour. Persistent pelvic pain.
