What is the Marom Scholarship from the Council for Higher Education?

The Marom Scholarship is a national scholarship program of the Council for Higher Education (CHE) designed exclusively for students of Ethiopian origin studying for an undergraduate degree in Israel. The program was established as part of the government's effort to reduce gaps in higher education.

Who is eligible?

• Student with at least one parent born in Ethiopia, or who made aliyah from Ethiopia
• Studying for an undergraduate degree at a CHE-accredited institution (university or academic college)
• Family income up to 175% of the poverty line
• GPA ≥ 70 (for renewal)
