About Ashkelon
Ashkelon absorbed significant waves of Israeli-Ethiopian community members from the 1990s onward and is today a major southern community hub. Community members are spread across multiple neighbourhoods in the city, alongside a growing presence of local businesses, educational institutions and community-led initiatives.
Who is it for?
- Ethiopian-Israeli students (1st, 2nd or 3rd generation) in master's or PhD programs
- Recognized Israeli universities (TAU, HUJI, Technion, Bar-Ilan, BGU, Haifa, Weizmann)
- Minimum 80 GPA in undergraduate degree
- Financial-need consideration (not exclusive, but weighted)
What's included?
- Full university tuition
- Annual living stipend (~₪40,000–60,000 depending on program)
- Academic and career mentorship via the ISEF alumni network
- Access to senior community-network mentors
How to apply

- Submit academic transcript, statement of purpose, 2 letters of recommendation
- Personal interview
- Decision within 4–8 weeks
