About Ashkelon
Ashkelon absorbed significant waves of Israeli-Ethiopian community members from the 1990s onward and is today a major southern community hub. Community members are spread across multiple neighbourhoods in the city, alongside a growing presence of local businesses, educational institutions and community-led initiatives.
Who is eligible?
- Discharged soldier who completed full service (at least 24 months)
- Of Ethiopian origin (self or parent)
- Registered at an academic institution within 3 years of discharge
What's included?
- Grant ₪15,000–₪35,000 per study year
- Option to spread over multiple study years
- Dedicated academic advising for discharged soldiers
