High-Risk Pregnancy Benefit — Rights for Working Women in Beit Shemesh

What is High-Risk Pregnancy Benefit?
When a doctor orders a pregnant woman to rest for medical reasons, she is entitled to a high-risk pregnancy benefit from NII — replacing the salary she is losing.
Amount
100% of salary — up to approximately 1,750 ILS/day (2026). No waiting days.
How to Apply
Get medical certificate stating "bed rest for X days." Submit claim to BTL within 7 days of starting rest. BTL pays directly to bank account. No employer approval needed.
Additional Pregnancy Rights
Prohibition on dismissal while pregnant (requires committee approval). Prohibition on salary reduction due to pregnancy. Right to transfer to safer role if current work is hazardous.
