Recommended programs

  • PERACH: A student receives a stipend (~₪5,000/year) in exchange for 4 weekly hours of mentoring a younger pupil. For ages 7-18.
  • ENP — Ethiopian National Project: School-based programs (SPACE) across 32 cities. After-school tutoring, matriculation prep, community mentors.
  • Fidel: Family-focused — school mediators, youth clubs, parent guidance.

Who is eligible?

  • PERACH: Any community pupil whose teacher recommends targeted tutoring — request via school counselor
  • ENP: Through the school itself — if it's in the 32-city network. Ask the teacher.
  • Fidel: Via a community youth club or school registrar.

How to start

  1. Talk to the teacher / school counselor first
  2. ENP: enp.org.il/he → "About" → branches
  3. PERACH: via the dean-of-students office at the local university (if a family member can be the mentor)
  4. Fidel: fidel.org.il → "Contact"

Tip: combining 2 programs (ENP + PERACH for example) is common and effective.
