What this page used to claim, and what is actually true

What was removed from this page. It previously advertised an "enhanced discharge grant — 150% of the base grant, unique to Ethiopian-Israeli soldiers", claimed via "Form B.L.87". No such entitlement exists. The Ministry of Defence's fund for discharged soldiers lists its special-entitlement populations — combat soldiers, disabled veterans, the bereaved, Haredi-sector graduates, SLA veterans — and country of origin is not among them. The form number is incoherent too: discharge grants are paid by the Ministry of Defence, not by National Insurance, so a "B.L." form cannot belong to one.

The real figures (July 2026): the discharge grant accrues per month served — ILS 686.96 for a combat soldier, ILS 572.05 for combat support, ILS 457.15 for rear echelon. The personal deposit accrues at ILS 993.46 / 827.89 / 662.31 per month, up to 32 months for men and 24 for women. A combat soldier completing full service receives roughly ILS 22,000 in grant plus ILS 32,000 in deposit — about ILS 54,000 in total. There is no ILS 120,000 grant and no origin-based supplement.
