Scholarships — what was checked, and what was removed in Nof HaGalil

The seven "lesser-known scholarships" published here were removed — four of the six domains cited are not registered at all. The real route: the Marom scholarship and your institution's financial-aid unit.

What happened to this page

This page listed seven "lesser-known scholarship sources" with precise amounts. All of them were removed. Four of the six domains cited here are not registered at all — never registered, not merely moved — and the phone number published here belongs to none of the organisations. Genuine content decays into stale addresses; it does not decay into domains that never existed.

Checked one by one: JDC-Ashalim runs no such scholarship (its remit is at-risk youth aged 0-25); Keren Shalem funds local authorities for disability services and awards no personal scholarships; TAU's real programme is "מצטייני פריפריה" and it requires about 90 hours of community involvement a year, the opposite of what was written here; the Menachem Begin Heritage Center is a museum and archive with no scholarship programme; KKL supports students through named donor funds, not a "development scholarship"; and no organisation matching "Penina — Bracha Fund" was found. The closing advice — that institutional scholarships are unpublished and you should ask a "social referent" — is wrong on both counts, and steered readers away from the real route.

Where to actually start

  • The Marom scholarship (CHE/VATAT), within the "בדרך לפסגה" programme — registration runs through PERACH. See Marom scholarship.
  • The financial-aid unit of your institution's dean of students, where institutional and external scholarships are listed — and they are published.
  • The site's own list: scholarships.
