What is the Absorption Basket?
The Absorption Basket (Sal Klita) is a cash grant the state — through the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration — gives every new immigrant in the first absorption months. It helps cover basic living costs until the immigrant integrates into work.
What does it include?
- An initial payment received at the airport or soon after arrival
- Monthly payments over roughly 6 months, varying by family composition
- Associated eligibility for Hebrew ulpan, housing assistance and more
