Youth Excellence Program — JDC Israel
JDC Israel (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee) runs a Youth Excellence program that combines a financial scholarship with a community leadership program. The program targets young adults from the Ethiopian community who demonstrate leadership potential alongside academic excellence.
Who is eligible?
- Young adult aged 18–28 of Ethiopian origin
- Studying for an undergraduate degree at a recognized institution
- GPA ≥ 80
- Commitment to community activity (evidence: volunteer experience / youth organization membership)
What's included?
- Annual study scholarship ₪10,000–₪18,000
- JDC leadership program participation (seminars, study tours, international)
- International JDC alumni network
- Senior mentor from your field
Application steps

- Complete leadership questionnaire + motivation letter
- Two letters of recommendation (academic + community)
- In-depth interview (~60 minutes)
