Subsidized trades — electrical/plumbing

What is covered

  • Tuition subsidy — 90% for a high-demand trade, 80% for medium-demand, capped at roughly ₪6,000-12,000. There is always a co-payment
  • Official Ministry of Labour certification at completion
  • You may also qualify for the BOOST training stipend for up to 6 months — this requires a further criterion (for example residence in socioeconomic clusters 1-4 or a priority area). Its amount is not published by a primary source

This page previously said "full tuition (₪0 to the student)" and a "living grant of ₪2,500-3,500/month". Both were wrong.

Training duration

  • Electrician: 6-9 months
  • Plumber: 4-6 months

How to apply

Register through your regional Employment Service office — requires national ID + fit interview + basic hands-on test.
