What actually exists

Aharai! — a nonprofit founded in 1997 running "Mechinot Or", five half-year urban pre-military academies (Yavne, Jerusalem, Shlomi, Lod, Dimona), with around 250 participants a year.

Worth knowing: the organisation publishes no Ethiopian-Israeli-specific track. Third parties mention one; the operator itself does not — so it is not stated here as an entitlement. Approach them directly and ask.

Atidim — runs "Atidim in the IDF" (including the academic reserve and pre-academic mechinot), "Atidim for Industry and High-Tech", "Combat Soldiers to High-Tech" and "Atidim to Enlist".

The correction that matters

This page previously presented a three-stage chain — mechina, "Atidim Military", then "Atidim Academic" — leading to a senior public-sector role. That chain does not exist. Atidim's IDF tracks lead to IDF technological units; the pipeline into the civil service is a separate programme, the Civil Service Cadets. The claim that "most senior figures in Israeli civil service went through a similar pipeline" was found in no source and was removed.
