Order 50 — who's eligible, how to claim it?

Eligibility

• Israeli citizenship
• Ethiopian descent
• Affirmative representation rests on s.15A of the Civil Service (Appointments) Law — not on "Order 50", which does not exist

How to claim

1. Check the affirmative-action page for specific rights
2. When applying for a public-sector role, state your status in the affirmative-representation clause of the form. If the form has none, write to the recruiting officer
3. Keep a copy of the application as evidence (in case of appeal)

Important: the preference applies where qualifications are similar, and it is discretionary — not a guaranteed outcome.
