Civil-service entry via Atidim

An important correction to this page

The page previously described "Atidim Academic" and "Atidim Military" as tracks leading to the civil service. Neither is the name of an Atidim programme, and the premise is wrong: Atidim's IDF tracks lead to IDF technological units, not to the civil service. The pipeline into the civil service is a separate programme — the Civil Service Cadets (צוערים לשירות המדינה).

What Atidim actually runs

  • Atidim in the IDF — including the academic reserve, pre-academic mechinot, and Pa'amei Atidim
  • Atidim for Industry and High-Tech
  • Combat Soldiers to High-Tech
  • Atidim to Enlist

Admission — what is and is not published

Atidim publishes no numeric matriculation threshold. Admission is a personal assessment, and the organisation runs a pre-academic mechina specifically for candidates who need to improve their academic record — which cuts against the idea of a hard bar.

The "90+ average" and the "~₪40-60K/year" sponsorship figure that appeared here are published nowhere on the organisation's site and were removed. So were the "95% / 100% / 70%" rates — Atidim publishes no completion, placement or retention figures at all.
