Rental Assistance for New Immigrants — Guide 2026 in Jerusalem

New immigrants are entitled to rental assistance for up to 36 months: single 2,000 ILS/month, couple 3,100, family with children up to 4,400 ILS/month.

Who is Eligible?

Every new immigrant (oleh) is entitled to rental assistance from the Ministry of Aliya and Integration. The assistance is given instead of staying in a government absorption centre, not in addition to it.

How to Apply

  1. Contact the Jewish Agency before arriving, or the Ministry of Aliya branch within 30 days of aliya
  2. Documents: teudat oleh, signed rental contract, bank account details
  3. The lease must be in your name with a full address
