From the IDF to a tech career — the path for graduates of technological units

Why IDF service is a strong starting point

ENP and Tech-Career data (2025): Ethiopian-Israeli tech-unit veterans enter high-tech at 2.3x the rate of peers without tech service. Key assets: team skills, pressure management, IT/cyber familiarity, and potential Security Clearance.

Relevant IDF tech units

Discharge grants

3-year service: ₪8,000–₪12,000 base grant, plus ₪15,000 additional for tech-unit graduates. Combinable with Tech-Career/ENP funding for fully-funded training plus monthly stipend.
