What is this program?
A VATAT (Planning and Budgeting Committee — the CHE's budgetary arm) program pairing a senior faculty mentor with every outstanding Ethiopian-Israeli student. This is a mentorship program, not a cash scholarship — an important distinction so applicants don't expect a stipend.
Who is eligible?
- Students of Ethiopian origin with strong academic achievement
- Enrolled in a CHE/VATAT-recognized institution
What's included?
- A senior faculty mentor throughout the studies
- Academic — not financial — mentorship: career advice, academic writing, choosing a follow-on track
How to apply
Contact the Dean of Students / diversity office at your academic institution, or via che.org.il directly — the program is run at the institutional level, not as a centralized national application.
