About Rishon LeZion
Rishon LeZion is home to a large, active Israeli-Ethiopian community, historically concentrated in the Ramat Eliyahu neighbourhood — originally built as absorption housing and now a long-standing community centre. The neighbourhood is at the heart of urban-renewal efforts, alongside a growing second-generation presence across the city.
Who is eligible?
- Student in grades 9–12 at a Darca school
- Outstanding academic results (GPA ≥ 88 in previous year)
- Commitment to leadership activities at school
What's included?
- Grant ₪2,000–₪6,000
- Formal recognition at annual ceremony
- Career and higher education counseling
How to apply
- Nomination by class teacher
- School principal approval
- Payment at start of next academic year
