About
Atid B'midbar ("Future in the Desert") was founded in 2003 in Beersheba by a group of Ethiopian-Israeli Negev residents. Focuses on community development in the southern region, home to ~12,000 Ethiopian-Israelis (~7% of the community).
Main programs
- Code Camp — coding bootcamp in Beersheba — 80+ graduates/year
- Employment — job placement with Negev tech firms (SOC and Negev-Tech companies)
- Education — academic tutoring in 7 schools in the Beersheba / Rahat / Sderot area
- Leadership development — youth workshops on community activism
- Summer camps — for southern-community children
