Tebeka reports another case of alleged police violence — appeals to the State Attorney's Office
The Tebeka association — which works to advance equality and rights for Ethiopian-Israelis — has publicized another alleged case of police violence, this time against a young Ethiopian-Israeli man in a city in southern Israel.

According to Tebeka, the case documented the use of "excessive and disproportionate force" by police officers against the young man. It's important to stress: this is the organization's allegation, not a final legal determination by a court.
How the case was handled
The Police Internal Investigations Department (Mahash) closed the case — without, according to Tebeka, a sufficient investigation. In response, the organization filed an appeal with the State Attorney's Office requesting the case be reopened.
Cases like this highlight a recurring issue in public discourse around police-community relations: a perception within parts of the community that cases involving police violence against Ethiopian-Israelis are closed without adequate inquiry.
