Key scholarships at a glance
Marom (CHE): ₪8,000–₪20,000/year for first-degree students with Ethiopian parentage. Deadline January–March. Apply via che.org.il.
Siket (Absorption Ministry): ₪6,000–₪15,000/year for immigrants within 7 years of aliyah. Apply via moia.gov.il.
Hebrew University Ethiopian Students Fund: ₪7,000–₪14,000. Contact the scholarships office at huji.ac.il.
Bar-Ilan Community Scholarship: ₪5,000–₪10,000/year, renewable. Key criterion: community involvement.
Open University Accessibility Grant: ₪5,000–₪12,000. No minimum grades required.
JDC Israel Leadership Scholarship: ₪10,000–₪18,000 + leadership program. Deadline usually February–April.
Combining scholarships
Marom and Siket can be combined — they do not exclude each other. JDC requires individual clarification with the program representative.
