PM's Office publishes report on the national program for integrating Ethiopian-Israelis
On January 8, 2026, the Prime Minister's Office published a report summarizing the activity of the government program for integrating Ethiopian-Israelis — known as "New Path," based on Government Decision 3243.
What the report covers
The report describes three main areas of activity:
- Budget allocations — approximately ₪209.6 million directed to various government ministries and as grants to local authorities, as part of implementing the program.
- Innovative local authority projects — initiatives implemented at the municipal level as part of the national program.
- Reducing bias in social services — efforts aimed at reducing institutional bias toward Ethiopian-Israelis in public services.
The full report is available for download on the gov.il website.
Why it matters
"New Path" is the central government program consolidating multi-ministry activity on integrating Ethiopian-Israelis. Publishing an activity summary report allows public tracking of how the decision is being implemented and how the budget is actually distributed among ministries and local authorities.
