Teaching and youth work career paths for community graduates

Why the community is needed in education

Around 320 Israeli schools have 20%+ Ethiopian-Israeli students (Education Ministry 2024). These schools report a critical shortage of Ethiopian-origin teachers and counsellors who serve as cultural role models and reduce dropout rates. The Ministry of Education gives official recruitment preference to Ethiopian-origin graduates for community-concentrated schools.
